하나님 (God)

유일하시고 살아 계신 오직 한 분, 진리이신 하나님이시다. 삼위일체이신 하나님은 스스로 아버지, 아들 그리고 성령으로 계시하신다. 구별된 인격을 가지고 계시지만 본성과, 본질과 존재로서는 구분이 없으시다.

There is one and only one living and true God. …The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

 

성부 하나님 (The Father)

아버지 하나님은 그의 은혜의 목적에 따라서 그의 우주와 그의 피조물과 인간 역사의 흐름을 섭리하시며 통치하신다. 하나님은 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 하나님의 자녀가 되는 사람들에게 진리 안에서 아버지 되신다.

God the Father is the eternal creator and sustainer of all things. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in attitude toward all humanity.

 

성자 하나님 (The Son)

그리스도는 하나님의 영원한 아들이시다. 예수 그리스도로 성육신하실 때 그는 성령으로 잉태되시고 동정녀 마리아에게서 태어나셨다. 그분은 친히 순종하심으로 하나님의 법을 영화롭게 하시고 십자가에서 대속하여 죽으심으로 죄로부터 인간을 구속할 길을 예비하셨다.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and His supreme revelation. He was together with the Father and the Holy Spirit from the beginning, and through Him all things were made. For the sake of redemption, He left heaven and became incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary, lived a perfect life of obedience, gave Himself up in sacrifice, and rose from the grave defeating the powers of sin, Satan, and death. He will return in power to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.

 

성령 하나님 (The Holy Spirit)

성령은 온전히 거룩하신 하나님의 영이시다. 그는 그리스도를 높이신다. 그는 인간이 죄와 의와 심판을 깨닫게 하신다. 그는 믿는 자와 교회가 예배와 복음전도와 봉사를 하도록 깨달음과 능력을 주신다.

The Holy Spirit empowers and indwells believers for service and witness. Specifically, He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, gives spirituals gifts by which they serve God through His church, and seals believers unto the final day of redemption.

 

성경 (The Scripture)

성경은 하나님에 의해 감동된 사람들이 기록하였으며 하나님께서 자기 자신을 사람에게 계시하신 것이다. 그것은 하나님의 교훈으로 이루어진 완벽한 보물이다. 성경은 하나님이 쓰셨으며, 그 목적은 구원이고 그 자체로 오류가 전혀 없는 진리의 말씀이다.

The Bible is the inspired and complete word of God and is His revelation to humanity. All Scripture is trustworthy, authoritative, and sufficient for all matters of faith and conduct. The Bible reveals God's plan of redemption in Jesus Christ and the principles by which God instructs people to live. Thus, the Bible is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be weighted. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ Jesus, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation and redemption.

 

구원 (Salvation)

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

교회 (The Church)

예수 그리스도로 시작된 신약의 교회는 믿음의 서약과 복음의 교제로 연합된, 침례받은 신자로 이루어진 지역 자치 교회다. 그리고 그들은 복음을 땅끝까지 전하기 위해서 힘쓰 는 자들이다. 신약성경은 교회가 모든 세대와 모든 부족과 모 든 언어와 민족과 국가에서 구속받은 자들이 함께하는 그리스도의 몸이라고 말한다.

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel, observing the two ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. In such a congregation each member is responsible and accountable to Christ as Lord. Its scriptural officers are pastors and deacons. While both men and women are gifted for service in the church, the office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.
